Do Your Research In Scotland - Gain Access to Records Not Available Online

Scottish records are some of the easiest to access, but privacy laws prevent online access within certain timeframes (100 years or older for birth and census records, 75 years for marriage records and 50 years for deaths), making your desk-chair research a bit limited. This is where it becomes necessary to travel to Scotland to do your research on-site. What better way to truly understand your ancestors than to visit their homeland?

Join us on a 10 genealogy research trip to Scotland. Get access to records not available online.

In addition to dedicated research time, there will be time to explore Edinburgh - a city rich in history. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile and the Grassmarket.

Our research days will take place at Scotland's People Centre where you can also book time at the National Archives, the National Library of Scotland and the maps building of the NLS. Arrangements can be made for you to visit the local genealogy society in the area where your ancestors lived. Daily fees for these research days are included in the tour fees. However, copies and downloads are not included.
